Face The Music reveals full 2014 program

Face The Music is happening this weekend (Friday 14 and Saturday 15) and the full program has just been announced.

There are some exciting panel discussions and workshops to attend, plus an opportunity to join a masterclass with Hiatus Kaiyote’s Nai Palm.

New arts hub to replace Collingwood Tech

The Victorian Government has provided $4 million to support a brand new arts hub, which will be taking over the former Collingwood Technical School site, providing a home for multiple arts organisations, exhibitions, events, etc.

New soundproof grant from the City of Yarra

Supporting 50 live music venues in its region, the City of Yarra has created a fund of $25,000 to help soundproof various buildings. The grants will cover the costs of installing insulation, air locks, noise-measuring devices and building surveyor fees, among other things.

2014 AWME conference program announced

A celebration of the finest in roots music, the 2014 AWME (The Australasian Worldwide Music Expo) conference program is up and available, featuring panel discussions and talks with various national and international guests, including Ash Grunwald and Nicky Bomba. It all happens on Friday November 14 and Saturday November 15 in the Lower Playhouse Foyer; Arts Centre Melbourne.

Face The Music is coming up fast and an exciting third line-up of guests has been announced.

The third announcement includes Ayisha Jaffer from Lorde’s management team, Planetary Group’s Adam Lewis, Detroit techno collective Underground Resistance, Melbourne’s very own neo-soul queen Nai Palm and the enigmatic Kirin J Callinan.
